Postdoctoral

Postdoctoral positions are available to study the mechanisms of neural circuit development and plasticity in the laboratory of Yimin Zou at University of California, San Diego. We are currently looking for candidates to study signal transduction and cell biological mechanisms of growth cone guidance, molecular cues that direct axons to find their synaptic targets in the visual system in establishing functional connections and therapeutic approaches to promote central nervous system regeneration and prevent degeneration. Candidates should have interest and experience in handling transgenic and knockout mice and axon tracing and analyses in animals, in addition to standard molecular, cellular and/or physiological skills.
