ORBS (Opportunities for Research in Behavioral Sciences) is a program for high school students and undergraduates attending 2-year colleges that provides research experience for students who are traditionally underrepresented in the sciences. ORBS is strongly committed to student learning through student teaching at all grade levels, and ORBS students thus perform community outreach; educating other students about their research, their goals, and their vision. Please note that we generally request students to have a minimum 3.0 GPA so that their research activities will not interfere with their pursuit of good grades. If you are interested in ORBS, please contact James Nieh at jnieh@ucsd.edu.
